Why its Important to Build Backlinks

Google, Yahoo, and MSN are the ‘big three’ search engines and they are getting a lot closer to each other than they used to be. Getting ranked in all three of them take the same basic strategies. Google created the most successful information retrieval device of all time based on sending spiders to follow each and every link they can find on each and every web document they come across. Yahoo, MSN, Ask, and all the other search databases have acquired the vast amounts of information they contain in similar fashion. Google has not thought of is to build the bridges themselves, but what is now very difficult to tighten up, it is paid links. Paid links are the people, the richer features of higher search engines.
Google , in particular, uses link popularity a great deal in determining the relevance of web pages to any given search. As Google completely dominates the search engine market currently, it is vital that small business site owners take notice and dedicate time to building up their site backlinks. Google says that paid links are out. But as long as some paid links slip through the net, then buying links is a sensible option.
Google will consider this to be unnatural and you may get penalized. Finally, try to get links from relevant website and webpages. Article submission is another great way to build relevant one way back links. Quality articles are submitted to well established article directories. Article marketing worked so well for me for my site that I decided to start an article directory myself. The key is to write good articles and not simply promotional hype.
Search engines not only look at how many other websites point to you, but also consider what their traffic is like and who points to them. Who points to you? Search engine marketing and promotion companies, will look at the plan for your site and make recommendations to increase your search engine ranking and website traffic. If you wish, they will also provide ongoing consultation and reporting to monitor your website and make recommendations (such as adding your site to bidding directory ) for editing and improvements to keep your site traffic flow and your search engine ranking high. Search engines realize that humans are not consistent. See the anchor text I used to link my blog Letting me be.
How To Use Free Ad Websites For Profits!

Do you lack the advertising budget of the gurus? Are you struggling to put your product or website in front of customers?
It’s a good thing you found this article. This article will share with you one of the free ways I use to put my products and websites in front of my customers.
I use free ad websites to advertise quite a bit. Like some of you, I don’t have big ad budget. I have found free ad websites handy in my internet pursuit.
When I say free ad website, I do not mean Free For All (FFA) websites. FFA websites were once effective way of advertising on the internet, but people have abused them so much that they are now of no value. I suggest you stay away from them.
You still see a lot of them around because newbies still fall for them. When I was a newbie, I did fall for them. The horror I wish not to discuss
Below are the benefits of free ad websites and how they can put money in your pocket:
a) The good ones have high traffic and are highly ranked in the search engines. So people will get to see what you are selling as they visit these highly ranked websites. If you have a good ad, your product will sell.
b) They provide backlinks to your website. Backlinks help your website rank high in the search engines.
c) Some of them have good pagerank and can transfer some their pagerank to your website. If you don’t know what pagerank is, don’t worry. The only thing you need to know is that it helps your website’s ranking in the search engines.
d) Since the search engines highly regard some of the good ones, your ad can rank high in the search engines. I had this happen top me. The ad for my website was ranked higher than my website. This will translate into sales when people looking for your product visit your website.
Do not discount the effectiveness of free ad websites. The method is so highly effective that I know an e-book on the market right now teaching this method and similar methods. It sells for some pretty pennies. I cover this method and more in my Zero Cost Profits report (see my resources box below).

Backlinks Are Proven To Improve Your Google Page Rank

What is all the fuss about Google Page Rank. Well the Google Page Rank is a status symbol to Internet Marketers. The page Rank Google assigns to your pages tells Internet Marketers whether your site is worthy to advertise on. Whether it is worthy to link to. Wether anyone cares about your site.
Backlinks are more important than recipricol links. While both are important getting your site listed on a web site that you don’t have to link back to is more important in regards to Page Rank. A your web link on a site you don’t link back to is a Backlink.
As a status symbol or as a draw for more traffic there are lots of schools of thought on the importance of backlinks. For me I want a better Page Rank rather than a lesser one. To improve your page rank you need backlinks. How do you get those backlinks? You beg for them in some respects. You state your case to other websites, “why it is important for them to link to you.” This is a tough sell if you have a new web site and no status as a web site builder. It can be done but it is difficult.
An Affiliate Program: This is an awesome way to drive traffic, plus generate sales but it comes with issues regarding backlinks. Affiliates will cloak your links so that your actual domain doesn’t appear on their web site. You need lots of affiliates to make an impact. You need to be able to manage your own affiliate software on your own domain.
Directory Submission: You can submit to hundreds of search engine friendly directories. Your site will go through a review process. Some will post your site others won’t. It is a time consuming but worthwhile process if you are in need of backlinks. If you have the funds there are also several submission services that will do the job for you.
Article Submission: Submitting articles to thousands of article directory sites will get you instant backlinks. Submit often there is no guarantee how long your articles will stay on the sites. Write good articles because web sites don’t publish bunk. Publish to as many sites as possible or use a good article submission tool to do it for you.
Three Way or Triangle links: If you are fortunate to have a couple of sites this is an awesome way to get some backlinks. This is a win, win for you and your backlink exchange partner. To do this, ask your link partner to place your link to your main site on their web site. You will in turn put their link on your secondary site. This way you each have a backlink not a reciprocal link. Backlinks are more powerful in the eyes of the Google Page Rank than the reciprocal link. Be sure to evenly distribute the links from your main site to your secondary site so both of your sites get backlinks. This way you will have two sites with high pr and lots of backlinks.

To make survival possible in the ever enlarging ocean of websites it is very important to be listed in the top order of any search engine. This would enhance the website’s visibility which in turn becomes capable of doing good business by generating better returns on your investment. This calls for the need of a tool which would update it regarding the popularity of a website. Backlinks, also known as incoming links are SEO tools which inform the search engines about the popularity of your website so that the search engine might rank your website accordingly. Backlinks are any other sites which link back to your site. They act as fuel which drives the traffic to your website.
How to Build Thousands of Backlinks?
Writing articles and then distributing them to the websites of concerned industry is a way to build thousands of backlinks which in turn makes your website highly relevant. By building backlinks, your website would be able to rank high in the search engine result pages thus generating traffic to your sites.
The main cause of concern however should not be the quantity of sites which link back to your sites but the quality of site which links back to your website. It would be anytime more valuable & beneficial getting backlinks from the top ten ranked sites than from hundreds of free classified sites which are low ranked.
How to Get Quality Backlinks?
To prove its quality backlinks must fulfill certain criteria.
• The source site from which the backlink is coming should be similar and relevant to your site. This in turn provides higher rating.
• If the source site from which the backlink is coming is highly popular then your website is sure to receive a higher page rank than the numerous backlinks coming to your site from low rank sites.
• The site that backlinks you should have original content otherwise they might be banned.
Types of Backlinks:
• Reciprocal/Relevant link exchange: They are the sites relevant & similar to your website. The most important factors in locating link exchange partners are similarity, page rank & relevance.
• One way link: A link from another site links to your site without placing a link back. This type of link could be created by posting exclusive & original content to your site which would further allow other website to link to your site.
• Outbound links: Are those websites or sites with whom you link to as references. Their presence determines whether sites with high page rank or authority would ever link to your website.
Importance of Backlinks:
• They help to improve the page rank of your website.
• They direct traffic to your website.
• Gives good revenue in return of the investment made by you.
Article Marketing and Backlinks

Article marketing is probably the most effective link building strategy on the World Wide Web. Yet, It is also one that is the most under used. Most marketers just will not do it. Their claims vary, saying I’m no writer, I can’t think of anything to say, I’m new and don’t know anything!
Let’s say the reasons above happen to be true.
They overlook the obvious alternatives.
With everybody and their brother hustling Private Label Articles on the web for as little as $29.95 for a hundred or more pre written articles there is no reason you can’t pick up some of these packages, rewrite them and claim them as your own. You may even find packages for alot less. It’s just a matter of weeding out the junk from the better articles. Making sure the article content is valid. The return on your initial investment will be significant in terms of the backlinks you’ll recieve.
A couple of really good PLR article sites that come to mind and have used myself are PushButtonHealth.com and InfoGoRound.com. Once you’ve been a member and developed some writing skills you can submit your own articles to InfoGoRound.com which takes care of your monthly membership fee.
Those backlinks are food for the search engine spyders. You’ll recieve those backlinks to your site by utilizing the main resource of your article. That being your author bio or resource box at the bottom of your article. This is what the search engine spyders feed on. This is where your backlinks originate.
There are alot of marketers that don’t utilize this resource to its full advantage, myself included. I’d previously been led to believe that in order to make money writing articles all I needed to do was write an article and put a link to whatever affiliate program I was promoting in the resource box and watch the sales pour in. It wasn’t happening. And I wasn’t getting any traffic to my main website. Any and all traffic was going to the generic affiliate page. Raising their ranking and leaving my site as a virtual unknown.
The purpose of the article’s resource box is to create backlinks to my main site via the anchor text I use to point to that site. It is what the search spyders use to categorize, classify and identify your site. Let me clarify that.
Let’s say you’ve got a Dog Grooming Site and you’ve written an article on that Topic. Your resource box should contain anchor text targeting the keywords you want to be categorized under. Like so,
********************************************
Joe Schmo is a Professional a href=”http://yoursite.com” Dog Groomer /a You can get more a href=”http://yoursite.com” Dog Grooming /a Tips by visiting his site at a href=”http://yoursite.com” http://yoursite.com /a
********************************************
Your anchor text would be Dog Grooming and Dog Groomer. Of course the example above is missing the symbols > <
If you add a resource box similar to the one above with every article you write and submit to as many article directories as you can, It will begin to bring traffic in droves, to your main site.
The rule of thumb here is this: The more sites you have pointing to your site, The more traffic your going to get from the search engines. The site with the most backlinks wins. Meaning the best placement in search results for your given niche.
Pretty simple, wouldn’t you say? More Articles = More Backlinks = More Traffic!
You’ll be able to build a list of targeted subscribers to your newsletter, make affiliate sales, sign up people to your membership site or MLM program. Your options will be only limited by your imagination.
I cannot guarantee if you submit 5 articles to a hundred directories, you’ll get 500 back links! I can guarantee that if you do, you’ll have more than if you did nothing.
Article Dashboard Directories

Here is a list of Websites where you can submit your articles:

Using articles as a method of Search Engine Optimazation is certainly viable and like anything worthwhile isn’t easy. It is not a magic bullet. It takes constant persistent effort and if you stick to it, no matter what, it will reward you beyond your wildest imagination.
In addition to your articles another great source of backlinks is by submitting your site to Link Directories such as:

Using Forums To Build Backlinks
June 17, 2009 by The Big SEO
A big part of getting traffic to your website is getting your site to rank high up in search engine results. By having relevant, good content on your website you will accomplish to an extent, but you will also want something else: good backlinks to your website.
Backlinks are links placed on another site which link to yours. The best ones to have are one way backlinks, meaning that they have links to your site, but not the other way around.
Forums are one way to create these high quality backlinks. These links can get traffic to your site as people click your links which are on the forum, further raising your stock with the search engines. When using forums to generate web traffic, you need to be judicious in your use of links lest you be branded as a spammer, which will probably result in your membership to the forum being closed. If done right, though, this can be a great way to generate traffic for your site.
Step 1: Find relevant forums
Relevant is the important thing to remember here – in internet marketing and especially where search engines are concerned, relevance is everything. To find forums which are relevancy, simply do a search on Google for your niche along with the term “forum”, like so:
coin collecting forum
You do this for two reasons. One is that search engines will pay more attention to your links if they come from a site whose content is relevant to that of your own site. Also, you will get more traffic from these backlinks if you post them in a place where people are interested in what your site is about.
Step 2: Find the best of these relevant forums and join them
Once you’ve managed o find some relevant forums, you should investigate these and choose some to join up with. Have a look at the top five to ten results from your search. You should ignore any which require you to join before even being able to look at the forums. Most forums will let you do this though, so read away!
What you are looking for in forums to join is popularity. Check the number of users on each forum and compare; you should also look at how many of these members are active on the forum. Look in some of the more heavily trafficked categories on the forum and look to see when the most recent postings were made. Generally speaking, this information will be listed in the tight hand column of the table containing the threads on the forum. If there have been a lot of posts within the last day, then congratulations!
You have found a forum which has many active members, which is exactly what you want. This means that search engines will look at this site often, so your links will quickly be noticed by them. Search engines are particularly fond of sites with frequent updates. Join this forum and any others which are very popular.
However, before you actually go ahead and join, make sure that this forum will allow you to use a signature in your posts. Look at one of the more frequently posted-to threads and have a look to see if anyone has a signature beneath his or her posting. This is usually a line under the posting with some text or sometimes links. Most people just have a quotation, but links are sometimes seen as well. Not everyone will use a signature, but if there are some there, then you know that you will be able to get your links on the site – go ahead and sign up.
Once you’ve located a forum which is popular and allows signatures, all you need to do is follow the instructions to become a member. If you can get signed on to three or four forums, that should be plenty to begin with.
Step 3: Set up your signature
After signing up and logging in, you should be able to edit your user profile – here you can edit your avatar, biography and other preferences. What you are looking for specifically is a link titled something along the lines of “edit signature”. You will then have a input field where you can place your signature, including backlinks to your site!
Forums use a certain type of code for formatting posts by members. This code is called BBCode and is very easy to use. Copy and paste the examples below, just change the URL and text to your own URL and whatever text you’d like to use. Then, save and your signature should be as you want it.
Link to your website or blog with this code:
Learn how to start [url=http:/ /www-dot-mycoinblog-dot-com/]Coin Collecting[/url] the easy way.
In this code, you can see where your text and URL will go. In the example above, the phrase “Coin Collecting” is the place where your link should go. Your keywords will be here as well.
To make your signature appear in bold type, simply add the bold tags around it like this:
[b]Learn how to start [url=http:/ /www-dot-mycoinblog-dot-com/]Coin Collecting[/url] the easy way.[/b]
Almost all forums will allow you to put your signature in bold type. If you put the bold tags around your signature and it does not show up in bold, then you will know that this forum does not allow bold formatting.
Some forums may let you have the text of your signature in the color of your choice, though the text in your link will usually be the default color for links (in most cases this is blue). To change the text color:
[color=red]Learn how to start [url=http:/ /www-dot-mycoinblog-dot-com/]Coin Collecting[/url] the easy way.[/color]
You can even combine these formatting tags, which in this example below would make your signature both bold and in red (the link text though, will still appear as blue, though it will be bold).
[color=red][b]Learn how to start [url=http:/ /www-dot-mycoinblog-dot-com/]Coin Collecting[/url] the easy way.[/b][/color]
One last tip about your signature – don’t make your signature look like spam, as this will led you to be tagged with the “spammer” label. Don’t crowd your signature with text and links. Get people to want to click your link by posting good content.
Step 4: Participate!
Up to this, all we have been covering is preparation. Participating in the forums is the important part. Make sure your posts are well written and thoughtful; this will get people to use those backlinks. Answer questions and generally be helpful to fellow forum members.
Each time you post, you will have given yourself another backlink to your site. The better your post, the better that backlink will be for your Google rankings. Google actually examines the text around a link to calculate relevance, so good content is important here. By just being helpful on the forum and answering questions, this should be no problem.
An that’s all there is to it! Remember that you can change your signature anytime you like – you can change the text on occasion to see if something will get you more clickthroughs.
How To Make Your Backlinks Count I
June 15, 2009 by The Big SEO
I think that we all know now how important backlinks are for the search engine ranking success of our web site. I also think that we all know now that one way to get these backlinks is by doing link exchanges with other sites. (For the uninitiated, backlinks are links on other web sites that point to ours.)
But do we know that there are various things we need to check before agreeing to exchanging links with another web site? After all, the whole point of exchanging links with others is to benefit from the ranking of their web sites. It is therefore imperative that we investigate ahead of time as to whether exchanging links with another site is to our advantage or not.
I have thought about this whole idea of link exchange preparation and came up with a 3-step process that involves an analysis of 3 pages of the web site we want to exchange links with. The 3 pages are:
- the home page where we will need to check 7 things about that page,
- the directory page: this is the page that contains a list of categories that the site has put together in a bid to organize its link exchanges. We need to check 7 things here,
- the backlink page: this is the page that will contain our backlink. We also need to check 7 things here.
Note that in some cases, the ‘target’ web site will not have a directory page. In that case, our analysis will be a 2-step one rather than a 3-step one.
In this first article, of may be 2 or 3, we shall look at the 7 things (organized in 2 groups) we should check about the home page of the target web site.
1. We need to check what Google thinks of the site. This is done by looking at some things that Google is happy to report about a site. The idea here is to see if there are any problems with the site, from Google’s point of view, that would cause us to decide not to exchange links with them.
I suggest that we look at:
a) how many pages does the site have indexed? This can be done by using ’site:www.site.com’ in the Google search box,
b) how many backlinks does Google report for the site? This can be done by using ‘links:www.site.com’ in the Google search box,
c) is the site listed in Google’s index? This can be done by using ‘http://www.site.com’ in the Google search box,
d) what is the Page Rank of the site/home page? There are several ways of doing this. One way is to get the Google toolbar and visit the web site to see its PR. Another way is to use one of the many web sites on the Internet that enables us to find the PR of any web site. And still another way is to look for software that will tell you the PR of any web sites.
Although we will generally need to look at these 4 things together in a sort of table in order to decide whether the target site passes the first step or not, there are definite results that would cause me to decide straight away not to exchange links with a site:
- if the PR of the site is zero,
- if the site is not listed in the Google index,
- if the site does not have any pages indexed by Google.
You will note here that I am using Google as the first step in the preparation. In fact, we can use any search engine if we want to but given that Google is more fussy than others when it comes to backlinks, I would suggest using Google in the above first step.
2. I would then suggest that we look at 3 tags of the home page of the target site, in a bid to determine if the site has a theme compatible with ours:
a) its title tag,
b) its description tag,
c) its keywords tag.
There are several ways of checking the contents of a web page’s tags. If your browser, such as MSIE, allows you to view the contents of a web page, then you will need to visit the home page and click on the right menu command to view the contents of the page. Then you will need to scroll to the top of the page to view the contents of its tags. The alternative is to look for web sites on the Internet that enable you to view the contents of the tags of any web pages. There are many such web sites on the net.
The reason for this step is that Google takes into account the theme of web sites when looking at backlinks. This means that backlinks from a site that has a theme compatible with ours will be of higher value than one that comes from a site that has nothing to do with what our site is about.
As mentioned above, this preparation is on the home page of the target web site and is only the first step. There are 2 more steps: one on the directory page and one on the backlink page.
It is only when the target web site passes the 3 steps that we should feel confident about exchanging links with them in that the link exchange will be to our advantage. Needless to say that the target web site will also need to conduct a similar 3-step analysis of our site prior to wanting to exchange links with us.

Avoid These 7 Link Building Mistakes
June 14, 2009 by The Big SEO
Everywhere you look today, there’s some SEO Guru trying to tell you what to do and what not to do when building links. It’s no secret that SEO experts agree on very little. A recent survey at SEOMoz proved that point.
If the top SEO experts around the World can not come to an agreement about what should or should not be done when building links, then what is the every day Joe supposed to do?
Rand surveyed the Top 37 SEO experts in the World. Basically the Survey is a series of questions asked to each expert. This group of experts could not come up with an agreement rating more than 1 on many of the questions!
So now that we know the experts can’t agree, I might as well tell you the mistakes I’ve made plus the ones I see done by many Webmasters.
Failing to procure reciprocal links. I’ve seen so called SEO Guru’s say that reciprocal linking is dead and they will hurt your site. This just isn’t so. The important thing to remember is to make sure they links your trade are from quality sites. It doesn’t matter if they’re PR0, just make sure they’re not from a spam/adult/pharmacy/hate type site. Reciprocal links can be on a resource page if you run a website or a Blogroll for you bloggers. Just remember to trade!
Failing to acquire low PR links. For some reason, many Webmasters do not want PR0 sites linking to them. This is link building suicide! One day, those PR0 sites could be the next PR5 or better. Frankly, I don’t care who links to my sites. I can’t control it and if they’re passing any amount of authority, which even PR0 pass some, I’ll take it. It also looks natural when you have many more low authority sites pointing to your site than all high PR sites.
Failing to link out. Once again, we’re talking about making your site look natural to the Search Engines, especially Google. Authority sites link out to other authority sites. Google expects to see this. I can’t tell you how many times Ive had a site stuck in the SERPS only to get a little boost when I linked to a higher authority site. So link out to authority sites!
Failure to check your reciprocal link partners websites. Once you exchange links with someone, you need to follow up on a routine basis and make sure the link back to your site is still there. Some sites go down, accounts are closed, domains let expired and purchased by someone else, Webmasters changing website topics and some Webmasters simply taking your link down after you exchange links. I’ve seen people put the “nofollow” attribute on the links after they’ve made a trade. I’ve seen it all happen, that’s why I monitor my link partners and you should also.
Failing to use Anchor text in your link. If someone gives you the opportunity to use Anchor text in the link back to your site, use it! In my opinion, anchor text in a backlink is the second biggest off page ranking factor for seo. Only the relevancy and authority of the page where the backlink originates is more important in my experience.
Failing to cover up your paid link footprints. Look, from here to the end of time, people will sell links. And from here to the end of time, Google will be trying to find paid links. And from here to the end of time, you’ll see blogs, websites and blog networks (think Backlink Solutions) get de indexed for selling links. If you’re going to buy or sell links, you’d better be hiding your footprint or Big Daddy G is going to find you one dark, cold and stormy night. There are several ways of hiding your footprint, I covered one way in my link laundering article a few weeks ago.
Failing to build links. I see people on the forums all the time asking how they should go about link building or how to get started link building. Many say they don’t know how and so they don’t even try. People! I hate link building as much as the next person, but it’s not Rocket Science. You may be able to rank high in a low competitive keyword niche with on-page SEO, but for a competitive niche where’s there’s money to be made, you’re going to need some relevant backlinks!
TIP: One of the most effective link building strategies you can perform is to find out who’s linking to your competition and get links from them. You simply go to Google and type in link:yourcompetitorssite, com. You’ll then get a list of sites that are linking to your competitors site. Browse that site to see if there is a place to put a link to your own site at. If not, simply Contact the person running the site and ask kindly for a link. Many times they will not respond, but some will. Now, out of those sites, do the same thing. See who’s linking to them and get links from those sites!
This is probably the easiest way to get relevant backlinks but it’s a technique very few Bloggers and Webmasters use!
Backlinking Plays a Vital Role in SEO and Also Termed as Backbone of the Website

Today the field of search engine optimization is becoming competitive day by day and backlinking is gaining popularity as a crucial SEO tool. There are number of factors determining one’s position on the website and driving traffic towards your site and backlinking is gaining significance and plays an important role for SEO. While discussing about the importance of backlinks, they can be termed as backbone of the website giving it the invisible but essential support.
Defining technically backlinks are the inbound links on the website. They are the links placed on other webpage’s and are directed towards your website, these are also known as incoming links, inlinks, and inward links. Quality inbound links add weight to the website popularity and search engine ranking. 95% of SEO focus today revolves around quality backlinking.
There are a number of ways to build quality and effective backlinks for your website. Submitting your site to directories, article sites, Online Press Releases, placing signature links in the forums, leaving comments on the blogs etc. are some easiest methods for inbound linking. Importance of backlinking for the SEO game can be discussed under following points:
• Quality backlinks attracts search engines to find your website. Here, quality of the links dominates over the no. of links directed towards your website. Important thing to be noticed is, a web site linked to you having content relevant to your website will perform better than the website having content unrelated to your website.
• Backlinking is a part of the entire ranking algorithm process for all the search engines. If two sites are similar in content and design, search engines have a tendency to prefer site having more inbound links but again quality links dominate. Linking with a bad site will cause a drop off for your websites on the search engines.

Really, when you’re just starting out, pretty much anything that has some history and pagerank will help, but if you want to supercharge your results, aim for high pagerank posts that use similar keywords as you. Just make sure you’re actually adding to the conversation and not just typing a couple words for the sole purpose of getting a backlink. Also, check the source code for comments to make sure the links aren’t rel=”nofollow” so that you’re getting credit for all your posts.
Niche Forums
Find forums that are related to your site and become a regular contributor to them. Edit your profile and add a quick call to action with a link to your website in your signature so that everytime you make a post or reply it will automatically insert a backlink for you. Don’t be spammy with your writing; add value to the community.
Social Networking
I know this one is mentioned everywhere, but still holds true today. Sign up for accounts on Facebook, MySpace, Squidoo, and Twitter and draft quality information with links in your profile back to your site. Concentrate on useful content with emphasis on building lasting relationships with everyone you meet.
Article Marketing
There are numerous Article Directories where you can submit your work to that all include a Resource Box containing a brief sales pitch and link back to you. Some of the more popular directories can be found at Ezine Articles, Buzzle, GoArticles, and iSnare. I recently wrote an in-depth post on how to Get Free Traffic with Article Marketing if you’d like to find out more about this topic (link to blog below this article).
YouTube and other Video Communities
Open up a YouTube account and spend some time filling out your profile with links to your site and start posting informative videos related to your niche. Make sure to use the description field to your advantage whenever posting videos because it allows you to add more info and keywords that will help your video get ranked higher in the search engines, especially Google, since they own it. Don’t forget to put your web address at the beginning of your description, including the “http://” so it can show up as a clickable link in the “more info” section of the page.
It may seem obvious, but remember to edit your web address into the video at key moments to further expose your site and gain popularity. My Videos are more than Moving Pictures when it comes to Internet Marketing post gives more info (link to blog below this article).
Yahoo! Answers
Get a Yahoo! Answers account and fill-out your profile with website backlink and start answering questions related to your niche. Really try and provide quality responses that help their problems and you may even get picked as a “best answer” and drive a good amount of traffic back to your website.
Additionally, you can link your Yahoo 360 account to this profile for even more exposure. Give great advice, while posting often and you can expect a great response for your efforts. As you complete more and more answers, you have a rating that increases to further boost your expertise in that topic.
Link Exchange with others
The age-old link exchange still has its place in building free traffic and can really thrust your site into stardom if you can build a friendship with the right person. Try opening up the lines of communication between several key owners of popular sites in your niche or a related one and work on building up a trusting work relationship. After some time, go ahead and ask for the link or to write a post as a guest author and see what happens. You don’t know what someone will say or offer if you don’t try in the first place.
Use of these methods will really help with getting Free Website Traffic to your site and the great thing is that all of them will provide long-term results. They build upon one another and each and every link is an additional small boost in traffic. Eventually and with determination, you’ll grow a river of continually flowing traffic that will ultimately allow you to Make More Money Online.
